Coral CTI Overview
CTI solutions have been available for the Coral family since 1986.
Tadiran pioneered complete CTI solutions using PC-based applications for the attendant
console and for tracking call statistics in call centers. Tadiran has also developed a set
of optimized Application Program Interface modules (APIs) to link the Coral with custom
software applications. These APIs are based on standards for design, intercommunications,
and CTI connectivity.

Microsoft TAPI |
|

Microsoft's Telephony Application Programming Interface is
built in to MS Windows and provides telephony client and/or telephony server functions.
TAPI is supported with the APA, APDL, and CLA hardware.

Novell TSAPI |
|
|
Novell's Telephone Services Application Programming
Interface is available for connecting Netware servers to PBXs for third party call
control. TSAPI is supported on the Coral using the CLA card.

IBM CallPath |
|
|
CallPath provides a CTI link to IBM's host computers and is
supported using the CLA card on the Coral.

Intel NetMerge (formerly Intel/Dialogic CT-Connect) |
|
|
NetMerge is an open, universal CTI server software family that provides
the foundation for CTI application components. NetMerge is supported on the Coral using
the CLA card.

CSTA |
|
|
Computer Supported Telephony Application is a standard by the European
Computer Manufacturers Association (ECMA) for linking computers to telephone systems.

|
|
Several software packages available for the Coral use Tadiran's own APIs.
By using their own API, a higher level of integration can be achieved and software
licensing can be avoided resulting in lower costs of ownership.

|
|
The CoralLINK Adapter card is an ethernet network interface
card for the Coral central processor.

Coral APA |
|
|
The Application Processor Adapter is an RS-232 add-in card
for Coral telephones. It is available for the 280 series of FlexSets and 2800 series of
DKT telephones.

Coral APDL |
|
|
Applications Processor Data Link is a standalone RS-232
module that connects to a digital station port on the Coral. It provides the same
functionality as the APA at a lower cost than a telephone when a phone isn't needed. |
Other, 3rd Party Screen Pop
Applications
Several commonly available database programs have Windows TAPI support built in. By
installing the Tadiran TAPI driver, and the Coral CLA card for a network wide connection
or the Coral APA telephone module for individual telephone connections, the screen pop
functions of the database are made available. Some of the more popular programs with this
functionality include MS Access, MS Outlook, Goldmine, and Symantec ACT!.

Other, 3rd Party IVR Applications
Many IVR applications are available in the market today. Most of these are developed
for specific vertical markets or are custom developed for a specific customer's needs. If
your software provider has an IVR package available, we can work with your vendor to
ensure a smooth installation. I.T.I. has experience integrating the Coral with IVR
packages in the credit union industry.
